Black chicken, also known as silkie chicken (乌鸡 / wū jī), has been prized in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries — not just for its striking appearance, but for its remarkable nutritional profile. Unlike conventional chicken, black chicken is naturally higher in carnosine, iron, and antioxidants, with a darker, more mineral-rich meat that reflects its unique genetics. In TCM, it's considered a warming, restorative food — traditionally used to nourish the blood, support kidney and liver health, and strengthen the body during recovery or seasonal transitions.

Our Monday soup is made with locally raised black chicken from Creston Valley Meats, slow-simmered with a house blend of traditional Chinese medicinal herbs and seasonal vegetables. The result is a clean, deeply nourishing broth that's as comforting as it is intentional.

To order: Place your order by Sunday night and your soup will be ready for pickup Monday 3-8pm at our kitchen (2078 Parker St.)

Sichuan Take out Every Monday from 5- 8pm. 

How does it work?
From 5-8pm Chef Garrett will cook up a variety of seasonal dishes and Sichuan favorites to fill out a self-serve buffet. 
If you can, bring your own containers to fill up at your stomach's desire. If you dont have your own containers, we will have disposable take-out boxes.
Payment is on a donation basis, so after loading up your grub, pay whatever you like. Cash, Venmo, or credit card. 

We will have very limited seating, but if you find a seat, your welcome to eat here!  

No pre-orders necessary. 
If you have a large group, feel free to shoot us a message with your ETA so we can make sure we are ready for you.
